Purposes
Replying to enquiries, agreeing and carrying out client work, invoicing, sending updates to people who asked for them, keeping our systems secure, and meeting our legal duties.
Whose information, and what
- People who send enquiries: name, email address, company, what they need, their message.
- Clients and their staff: names, contact details, and what the work requires.
- Suppliers: names, contact and banking details.
- Website visitors: IP addresses and technical details of requests.
Who receives it
Domains.co.za (website and email hosting, in Johannesburg), Resend (delivering enquiries from the website), and, where the law requires, the South African Revenue Service and the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission.
Transfers outside South Africa
The website, our mailboxes and their backups stay in South Africa. Resend, which delivers enquiries from the website to our inbox, is in the United States; we rely on its data processing terms, which bind it to protection substantially similar to POPIA (s72(1)(a)).
Security
The website stores no personal information. Information travels over encrypted connections, and access to our systems is limited to the people who need it.
7. How to request a record
- Complete Form 2, “Request for Access to Record”, from the Regulator's PAIA forms page.
- Email it to privacy@lefikalogic.co.za, or deliver it to our physical address.
- We reply within 30 days on Form 3, “Outcome of request and of fees payable”, with any fee, which is limited to what the PAIA regulations prescribe.
If we refuse a request, Form 3 gives the reasons. You may then complain to the Information Regulator at PAIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za, or apply to court.
